About Us

The Fidesz – Hungarian Civic Alliance established the Foundation for a Civic Hungary in the autumn of 2003 with the aim of promoting the development of political culture and supporting communities organized along civic, Christian and national values. The foundation was created after the National Assembly authorized political parties to establish foundations supported from budgetary sources.

The main goal of our foundation is the preservation and renewal of domestic and cross-border civic communities. We believe that we must strengthen both individuals and communities along the values of community cohesion – with all the means at our disposal.

Our Offices

Ligeti studio villa

In 2016, our foundation purchased the former studio villa of sculptor Miklós Ligeti, which was designed by Zoltán Bálint and Lajos Jámbor in 1905. Our goal with the renovation was not only to save the monument building that was already in serious disrepair, but also to create a headquarters worthy of our values – a space where the national heritage can continue to live.

Our Brussels office

We opened our first foreign representation in Brussels with the aim of representing Christian democratic values, conservative thinking and the ideal of patriotism at the European level. Our mission is to strengthen cross-party cooperation within the conservative wing and to provide reliable, first-hand information about Hungary's most important political directions. We also wish to operate an international platform where opinion leaders and decision-makers with similar values can meet.
